Southeast Texas Homeless Pet Adoption Center was founded by Eileen Gibson. Eileen's love for animals has been evident since she was a child. Her work for animals includes time as a veterinary assistant and a breeder. As a breeder and vet assistant, Eileen became aware of the tremendous need for foster homes for abandoned, abused, and neglected dogs. Using just her own means, she has rehabilitated and/or fostered dozens of dogs.

Some of her rescues have found their own way to her home. Others were referred to her. Still others have come to her through fellow rescuers who were unable to take care of the animal in need. As with many of her dogs, Eileen's love seems endless. She and her husband, "Big", have worked tirelessly caring for and providing for the dogs they have taken responsibility for. As many can attest, Eileen's rescues leave her home happy and well adjusted.
